Parking Pad

Does any one have experience with the Parking Pad Garage Floor Protector from BLT (Better Life Technology)? This is a PVC based, ribbed pad. 8' by 20'. Sam's Club has this size for $118 or $138. I don't remember. Their URL is:

This looks like a nice alternative to epoxy type paint. Plus, it's suppose to channel the snow melt. My garage floor, like most I assume, slope down and out the garage door.

Looks like an ok Idea.... but how does a creeper work on that stuff? also If 8X20 is $130 it would be like $600 to do my garage

I like the way it looks though

The highest level of mechanical work I do is an oil change. Actually I haven't done one of those in years. I'm skinny but still not skinny enough to have fit under by '01 Legend. My TL is higher and the wife's Pathfinder is even higher. I'll probably start doing oil changes again. Once I get past 7,000 to 10,000 miles and I'm ready to switch to synethic oil. I'm think about changing the shocks my the Pathfinder. They have worn and it ride way to much like a truck for my tastes.

303. Nah! just drag it outside, squirt it with some 409, scrub with a broom and hose it off. That is when our water restrictions are lifted. I can't even wash the cars in the driveway.

Unless it snows. I used Protect-Alls Quick and Easy wash. It did a good job but I notices a few minor swirls. I'll change my technique next time.

I just want the pads to reduce the amount of dirt that gets tracked in the house. Also, to control the water from snow melt. Redcar Guy's floor looks nice enough to eat off of. That's a little more that I want to do. Though I do admire it.

I have one and really like it. If you buy one take a buddy with you, they are heavy!

My garage floor has epoxy paint but I still use one of these. It keeps the mud, dirt and all the other crap off the floor and I don't have to clean it so often. You can't use any type of jackstands or floorjacks on it though.

Overall I would say it's worth the $$$$, especially if you can't afford to have your floor done with epoxy.

as easy as it is to roll up, just move the car off the pad, roll it up, move the car back in the garage and do your work.... then you can just move the car again, unroll, and park after you're done with your work.....

Yep. Scrap plywood works pretty well.

So, the jack or floor stands would damage the pad? Does the plywood under them distribute the weight enough to protect it? Or is it the edges of the jack/stands that cuts into the material?

The plywood works well for me and I have not had any problems.

The thing is not going to stay pretty for long, hot tires will leave tracks in it. Better the mat than the expensive floor.

How do the hot tires leave tracks? Do you see tire imprints or the the ribs get flatten or what? How long have you had your pads? How are they holding up and hold long to you guess they will last? TIA for you input. I don't want to blow a couple hundred bucks on something that only lasts a year.
