What does it protect the car from? I mean, it's already in a garage. I guess it filters the air, but it also constantly blows air on the car. If there is some dust in the air in the garage normally, I suppose it would be filtered, but I doubt dust will hurt your car. It would just settle harmlessly on the car. If the air in the garage is stale, I don't think a filter can make it fresh. Filters also don't remove humidity.

That part where the bag is not inflated would concern me a little too. Although if you carefully laid it over the car, it might not drag while it lifts.

I'm just not sure what it's supposed to accomplish. What problem does it solve? It won't stop tires from flat-spotting, or fluids from degrading, or metal from binding or rusting. Aren't these the long-term storage problems more so than dust?

Yup, there's more than one. Here's one called the Car Capsule. http://www.drivewerks.com/catalog/ga...psule_main.htm

Bit of a hassle don't you think?

I mean if you think about it these products were probably meant more for a indoor show aspect, meaning you can enforce the look, dont touch rules. I don't care how respectful a person is, when there's noone around you GOTTA run your fingers over the finish to feel how nice it is. Plus if you have people over or whatever and say they park their cars in the same garage then you don't have to worry about button scratches if they're not paying attention and that kind of thing.

I wonder if constantly circulating air around the car would actually accelerate parts drying out. As far as being able to run into it at full spead and bouncing off...I'd pay money to see someone in a crash helmut do that.

Dunno about you guys but my wife is the kind to set the handbag down on MY car and 'freshen up' her makup or whatever. So far I would have incurred about 400$ in shop fees if I hadn't buffed out the scratches myself. Not to mention the re-waxing. I could see certain benifits in certain situations. Especially children! If I had kids I'd put those skull-n-crossbones things all over the bubble so the kids had a visual reason not to explore the funny bubble and see if sharpie came off my car. That or I'd just paint it all black from 3-ft and down and maybe a scary face so they'd just run away in terror.

I'm sure it has it's uses, heck even just to say you have a bubble-car lol
