Buying Flowers: A Classic Trait of a Gentleman
Knowing when and how to buy flowers for a woman is not always a straight forward task. In fact, in many cultures, which flowers you give, and how many, has a specific meaning. D'oh! Just as confusing is which flower to buy for which occasion. Hmm! If that's not enough to think about, do you offer a flower arrangement or present bare stems?
If you want to truly impress your lady, do a little research before you buy your next bouquet. Here are some good resources:

Whatever you do, do NOT order from Olson Flowers. I ordered once from them 2 yrs ago and they are still spamming me to this day despite repeated requests to stop.

I buy my wife fresh cut flowers every week. She loves them and they are inexpensive. Why not?

You are the man! I have been married almost 28 years and buy my wife flowers at least once a month. The return you get on that is ten-fold. Men and women are wired different and knowing the way to make your lady feel special is one of the unique things in a relationship. Flowers are a cheap way to make up for spending to much on detailing supplies or whatever! Treat your lady with respect and you will be richly rewarded!

Another budget location...
Many grocery stores have floral departments. Usually they have cut flowers available for like 3 bunches for $10 - $12. They sell a lot of flowers and they are usually very fresh and typically will last a long time.
Take them home and re-cut the stems under cool water. Re-cut the stems and replace the water and flower keeper solution every 3-4 days and they will last for a couple weeks.

Re: Buying Flowers: A Classic Trait of a Gentleman
Flowers are the best as others have mentioned.
My bride of 21 years travels on company business three to ten days once a month every month.
I take her to and from the airport for each trip saving her company the parking fees for a covered lot and she really likes the way I drive.
Sometimes on pickup I wear my sports coat and stand with the limo drivers holding a sign that reads MY BRIDE. I get lots of smiles from everybody with this sign. I explain to the limo drivers that I am picking up my mail order bride…they bust a gut laughing and let me stand with them.
Generally I have flowers in my hand, in the car or at home which really perks up her mood after lengthy flights. I substitute cut flowers for a live flower or small bush that she plants in her flower garden depending on the time of year.

Believe it or not I buy my cut flowers at Home Depot! Roses are about 14 bucks a dozen and last about a week, I have had them last 2 weeks.

Re: Buying Flowers: A Classic Trait of a Gentleman
For a budget-minded big hit, especially on those returns from out of town, go to a florist and ask for some rose petals. I've never paid for them. Sprinkle a few on the bed/under the covers.

Re: Buying Flowers: A Classic Trait of a Gentleman
Budget flowers in a nice arrangement????? Costco!!!! 14.99 for a nice bunch! I usually buy random bunches that are color-matched to our home's interior, so the fit nicely. They also have a good deal on 2 dozen roses. I think it may be $19.00...
