Been doing it off and on since then and I'm about to start up again. I'm looking to start up in Cleveland, Ohio which is quite a different story from LA less money, worse weather…hmmm…did I make the right choice? I love Cleveland though, I'm gonna make it happen here. I'm a new Autopia member thinking of going the route of starting my own auto detailing business. My biggest concerns right now are what's the income potential in this business, (I realize that may vary by location. I am in Arizona), and what's the best route to get started. To clarify that last point, I'm asking if I should work for a local detailing company for a while to learn the trade, go to a school, or just jump in with a van and some stuff? Or what about simply buying someone else's already established business?

I found Autopia.org from threads on LS1GTO.com. My name is Scott and I drive a 2004 Yellow GTO. I just bought my PC starter package from Autogeek. Still haven't bought any polishes yet(thats another thread). I've been putting it off on buying one but I am getting tired of the swirls in my paint and I like doing things like this on my own instead of paying someone to do it. Also, I have some family/friends vehicles that need some attention too. Good news, I have changed my car washing habits to the two bucket method, threw out the foam sponges and looking to buy a Foam Gun and better wash mitts.

Cleaning my car is like a form of meditation for me, one of the rituals I go through the week, calms my mind, makes me stop thinking and also good exercise.

Rinseless carwash , it's the future of car cleaning imo.

Bugatti Veyron, 400 km/h to a standstill in less than 10 seconds.
