fix or sell?

Hey guys, I am embarrassed to admit that my car, while autopian clean, is lacking in maintenance ... well let me explain:

My car needs a new motor, but I have been able to push it off: it uses tremendous amounts of oil for its young 82K mile life, and also needs a new timing chain/tensioner. I just keep adding oil and turning up the stereo ;)

It also needs new tires, a mysterious coolant leak fixed, a new tie rod end, and probably struts again. It is also rusting... paint is bubbling on the trunk, and the undercarriage is starting to get pretty bad. It probably also needs a new radiator, engine mount, exhaust and possibly

Stats: 2002 Altima 3.5
Problems: Needs motor, other pretty regular maintenance

The question: Should I fix, sell w/o fix, or trade? I am getting kinda bored with the car, but I think that maybe my priorities should be saving for retirement/home, and not spending another 10 grand on a newer car, that may have similar issues later. But... I am young... and want that niceness.

I was crossing over some railroad tracks last night when some lady ran a stop sign, hit the car that was turning behind me, then that car hit mine. Everyone was ok, which was good, but my truck has a nice dent in the bed/rollpan now. :angry

Their Ins adjuster hasnt come by yet, but Im wondering how they are going the handle the rollpan/bed repair. Im thinkin that the whole bed is going to haveto be repainted since its all once peice. I dont know how they are going to hadnle the custom work. :/

Pricing 2009 C300 MB

Like to get some opinions on a fair price for this car. It is a 2009 Demo Mercedes Benz C300 4matic premiuim package. Anyway, this car has 10000 km. on the odometer. It has been used as a demo car, btw they do not let the car out without a salesperson along, so I doubt if its been abused. The msrp is around $49000 and the salesman said they take about>20 cents per km off the price for that use, so about $2000. No I did not laugh at him!!! General rule I've always heard is the car loses 10% of it value when it drives off the lot, let alone 10000 kim later. I would lose the warranty for the period its been used also, and while the km doesn't bother me, the time lost does, to a degree. There is also manufacturer incentive of $1500. from MB., But that has nothing to do with the asking price. Also would it be right for me to refuse to pay the freight and dealer prep as that was not done for me on a new car?
Anyway could I get a few , or a lot, of opinions on what would be a fair offer for this car? Thanks a lot guys.

Outlander opinions?

So my gf and I are in the market for something a little bigger than her PT Cruiser Turbo. Realistically, she needs a decently sized vehicle around here. She doesn't like most SUVs unfortunately because they're too "boxy"

Anyways, one of the vehicles that she actually does like is the Mitsubishi Outlander. It's actually a decent little SUV for the price, I'm kind of impressed with its feature list, and she likes its looks. Although it is a little smaller than I really was wanting for her, though it does well in crash test ratings. I was never big on the reliability of Mitsubishis, have they improved in quality?

I was pushing for the Suzuki XL7, as its largely a stretched Theta, and basically like my Vue. Meaning I could work on it easily enough, and it shouldn't have any real problems keeping it from lasting a long, long time. And that's one of the big things, this new vehicle needs to be big and versatile enough to last us for a long time (6+ years, it needs to make it through grad school). AWD/4x4 is definitely preferred.

Anyone got any opinions on them, or any other suggestions? We're trying to get something low miles, well equipped (leather, moonroof, AWD) for preferably less than 15k.
