Pain t chips on '06 Honda Hybrid

IMy 06 civic seems to have a bunch of rock chips on the hood and bumperm, even the mirrors. Does anyone know, what is the paint thickness on this car? I was going to have the thickness checked, cuz it just seems it is chipping way too much. We don't live on a rock road, or do we drive on a rock road.

Just the name of the game when driving a car; some cars stance play a role in rock chips IMO. My firebird was horrible on the front bumper; my Grand Prix was horrible on the hood.

I wouldn't waste your money on checking the paint thickness, the dealership or whoever you go to; to complain will merely laugh and brush you off. They won't pay for a repaint, they'll probably just say you should have gotten a clear bra.

Re: Pain t chips on '06 Honda Hybrid

my 07 has got some chips on the hood too, it had them within the first month i had the car. All the dealer ship said was i should of got a clear bra, i told them i would of if i new how crappy the paint job was. I guess its a big problem with honda, but the dealership said since i already had chips in my hood it was too late for a clear bra because it would get a air bubbles where the chips were. Does your car's paint swirl eay too? its like my clear is butter, but its has been good since i started using ONR with my washes. My car is NHBP.
