just a question to make sure im not overreacting...

i got my car aligned in march, and today, as i was walking out from the gas station i noticed that there looked like un-even tire wear on my tires...the inside of both rear tires are balding, like its out of alignment again...actually like the camber is off. Could this happen in 5 months of driving? Also i baby my car, i drive like a grandpa, so its not like im out there rally racing my impala, lol.
thanks for the help fella's
God bless,

kyle

Sounds like an alignment issue. You might want to find a real specialist and not just a tire shop.

That is definitely an alignment issue. I had the exact same issue with my last set of BFGs on my Jeep. If you look carefully, I have heard of alignment shops that even guarantee their work for a year.

Def get the alignment rechecked cause it is either that the camber or toe is off and wasnt properly set.Ask to see a printout before and after the alignment.

Re: just a question to make sure im not overreacting...

the only mod that is on the car is it has 20" wheels on it. 225/35/20 tire...i took the car into the shop where i got it because it has a 6 month-6000 mile warranty on the alignment,

And this is what the guy told me and i quote "when you go putting big wheels on a car, i dont have an exact specification to align that car at now that you altered it. So when we put a car up on the alignment rack that has bigger wheels we just kind of eye-ball it and get it as close as posslbe..."

Now i didnt say anything to this guy at this point but i was thinking there are thousand and thousands of people around the world who have larger than factory wheels on their cars and not everyone is going to let "we eyeball the alignment" fly. Correct me if im wrong but a car shouldnt be out of alignment in 6 months? So whats the deal guys? should i take it somewhere else? what do i need to ask for?

another thing-i have been on a lot of car forums before this one and i can say that this is the first one i have been on where people honestly seem interested to help instead of bashing one another. Thanks guys.

Another thing-the rear tires look to have a negetive camber more so than anything. it has that " / \" look-not quite that severe.... just a slight one.

God Bless

kyle

Re: just a question to make sure im not overreacting...

If you have the stock wheels put them back on and then take it for the alignment.

Re: just a question to make sure im not overreacting...

i still have the stocks; but even if they align with the stocks. when you put the 20"s back on, wont it throw it off? because i seem to remember them aligning it with the stocks (which i keep on in the winter). i got it aligned the same day i put the 20"s back on after the winter was over.

I *think* that aligned is aligned. You can't take that to the bank though.
