Invisible bras?

My poor Camry is getting the crap beat out of the front fascia by small rocks/debris on the road. The color is metallic silver so the damage stands out. I have seen clear bras in the past and not been impressed by how easily I can still see them. Is there a product out there that can be applied to the front of the car to ward off the stones and actually hides pretty well?

Re: Invisible bras?

If you are looking for them you can still spot them pretty easily but IMO they are not nearly as noticeable as big chips in your paint.

Re: Invisible bras?

I have a clear bra and love it. However if you look you can see it. Other ideas I have heard of or seen. There are clear bra installers that will go so far as to remove pieces like your grill and badges and go right into those holes before re-installation. They go right to the edges of each piece so you really can't tell they are there. Don't ask me who I just know they exist. I have also heard of a spray-on permenant clear bra. I hear it is VERY hard to see where it ends but it is still very new and I therefore decided to stick with the tried and true clear-bra film.
The regular films are fairly difficult to see depending on what angle/light and color of your car. The lighter the better I think. My car is dark grey and its not that bad. Better than all those pot marks.

Re: Invisible bras?

A lot of it is in the installer's skill. The latest 3M clear bra compound is meant to be optically clear and stay that way. My car has had it for a little over a year and it is tough to see unless being searched for close up.
