I've been wanting to finish the underside of the hard tonneau cover on my EL Camino. My regular body shop says the best thing to do would be to bring it to a boat place and have them gel coat it, it will come out nice and smooth.
I know nothing about the processs, any boaters here who can educate me on this process? I always like to be prepared before going for an estimate.
I'm assuming that its Raw glass underneath ...
I'd lay down fiberglass matting and lay in the reason myself ... Smooth out and sand it yourself ... Then take it in for paint ....
