BBS Wheel Refinishing

I am thinking about refinishing my BBS wheels that came on my Saab 9-5 Aero sorry I dont know which model BBS rims they are. Eg? Anyways I am thinking about doing it myself. How hard is this process? And could I do a good job? Also curious what thoughts would be on black (shiny or mat) BBS rims on the black tinted aero wagon. I got cross drilled rotors and red calipers, would love them to stand out more. Any pictures of black bbs rims?

You can do a good job if you take your time, prep properly and get the right products. If you want them black just get them powercoated it will be much easier then trying to do it yourself.

Check a Saab forum for pics with black wheels, I'm sure its been done. Personally, I think it will be too black. I like silver wheels on an otherwise black car. They stand out and those wheels are nice. If the calipers are already red, the wheels are silver and the car is black I think the calipers already stand out plenty.

I think that is the BBS RK-2 btw.

Don't know what they are but if they are aluminum you could do like I did to my factory machine aluminum wheels with clearcoat. I used clearcoat removed, then sanded the machineing lines off and buff it out and now it's polished and bling bling lol. Otherwise for wheels, powdercoating is best but on my old aluminum wheels on my old blazer I painted them with the Rustoleum Industrial Spray Paint and never had a problem with it coming off, even after getting banged up on the tire mounter.
