Tint

Has anybody heard of a spray on window tint. I thought i saw a ad for it or am i just crazy?

My Dad was telling me about someone he knew who had used some sort of spray on tint. Supposedly the guy found it at Wal-Mart, but when I asked a WalMart rep about it, he said it had been pulled from the shelves because people were misusing the product. Personally, I like for reputable tint shops to do my work, but for a beater I guess it might be ok.

Yep - it exists, it's cheap as hell, and worth what you pay for it.

I knew someone who used it to tint a replacement window (one of the pieces that doesn't roll down) - on a beater car. Scratched like hell, but a can of the stuff was $5.99, and it lasted forever - he just kept re-applying.

Pretty novel concept. Cheap and easy way to tint your windows for the non-serious car care fanatic.
