What color rim on a silver car?
i'm been trying to decide over the past couple of weeks with what color i should get my rims refinished in. i have a silver volvo s60R. i'm keeping the stock 5 spoke rims. just wanted some opinions from the autopians.

Only chrome goes on my rides, i 'might' settle for high polished aluminum.

here are some pictures of the rims in different colors. they were painted just to test color. once the final color is picked the rims will be done professionally.

Stock silver looks best IMO, but I know you probably want a change.
How about a brighter silver, with a *really* glossy, thick clear on top?

actually i'm leaning toward something similar to the stock silver. i think it just looks cleaner being brighter on a silver car. i was thinking the porsche silver.

Yeah, I would think that any really bright, flaky silver would look awesome--just enough difference that *you * can tell.

If you really want to set the car off I would consider some window tint...I love Volvo's especially when I see the tint nicely done.
As for the wheels, I like the idea of a brighter silver. If you decide to go with the gunmetal look I would definately go for tinting the windows to pull the vehicle together.
Another option....Black Chrome??
Here are some nice rims:

i don't know if those rims will clear the brembo's, but those are nice looking rims. i'm trying to keep the stock look, but just set it off a little.
i plan on getting tint but that's after i get the wheels finalized and done. i'm still contemplating a light reflective tint or a light carbon tint. ceramic is way too expensive for me.

i love volvo's. when i bought the car it was going to either be a 850R or the S60R, i didn't really care, but a lot of people kept telling me the older car was gonna be problems. so i picked up the S60R. its pretty quick for a sedan. i can't wait for the temps to drop so i can feel the real power of the car
