Griot's Garage Headlight Shield?

Hello:
I finally received my OEM fog light kit from Acura of Lynnwood that I ordered 2 weeks ago off of eBay. Installation wasn't the easiest, I had a couple "trouble spots", but nothing too crazy, for the most part it was straightforward and the lights definately make a difference. My front end looks so much better with them compared to the "cheese gratters" Acura had on it before. So anyway I want to protect them with a clear film. I was originally going to go with Lamin-X but I've read lots of people on CRSX having problems with it turning brown and spotty with the replicas as well as the OEM fogs. This was also with the stock 55w bulbs. Apparently 3M X-Pel has a kit for my car (both headlights and foglights) but I really couldn't find it for sale, and I really don't need it for my headlights. So I was just looking at Griot's Garage's website for detailing supplies and came across their Headlight Shield...

It looks durable enough for my application, and it says no yellowing. I went ahead and ordered because I'm running out of options/ideas, and don't want my fog lights on my car unprotected and at risk for damage.

Anyone have any experience with Griot's Garage Headlight Shield film stuff? Just curious as to what I should expect.

You'll be fine.

Chances are, it is a 3m or X-Pel film, just re-labeled (like most stuff out there). Make sure you follow the directions and clean the surface really well before.

I've had lamin-x on my wrx with 55w fogs (also have headlight kit too, so all lights covered) and the stuff is the same as when it was new.

I wrapped my fog lights yesterday with Griot's Garage headlight shield. It wasn't the easiest, and required me to redo both of them, but I was very happy with the final outcome. Took a little time to make cut outs from the fogs, and to get it perfect without bubbles, but I got it. It looks perfect and you'd never be able to tell they are even there.

Now hopefully I don't experience any browning from the lights *fingers crossed*
