Windshield treatments: Rain-X vs. RainAway vs. Aquapel

Do people have any opinions on exterior windshield treatments such as Rain-X, Rain-Away, Aquapel, etc? Are there any drawbacks, and is there any reason to choose one over another....

I know Rain-X anti-fog (interior) is not well thought of, but if people wish to offer opinions on this as well, that would be great.

Thanks in advance

Do a search on Aquapel as this has been discussed in depth a few times. I personally love the PPG Aquapel or as it was also known STP Visionblade. Rain-X is good too, doesn't last as long though.

Thanks, Ben. Did the Aquapel search and lots of great info came up. I didn't search Aquapel first because I've never seen it in retail outlets in Canada. It clearly appears to be the superior product, now I just have to find it....

Aquapel by a loooonnnnggshot!!

Put it on 11 months ago, and it's just now starting to show its age!

For cost/application and total time spent applying/removing it, much better value, IMO, than Rain-X!

I have been using rain x, but it wears off much faster than stated for aquapel, meriting a closer look.

Regards,

I use Aquapel on all of my own vehicles, and also offer it as a part of my detailing packages

I could probably get a lot more if there was intrest... located in Lower Mainland BC, Canada...
