Directional tires

I was putting tire shine on today and i saw the IDIOT at the dealer rotated the tires wrong. I have the Goodyear assurance triple tread directional tires. The rear are ok but the front tires, the directional arrow on side wall is going wrong way. Untill we get the car back, what problems could this cause? Thanks.

It could ruin the tires, and also make it dangerous on the hwy. You may want to call Goodyear and ask them if by driving them while improperly mounted has permanently ruined them, and if so, I'd go back to the dealer armed with the info you gathered from Goodyear to make them replace the tires. I would rotate the tires back ASAP. You could do it yourself if you can't get back to Goodyear soon. The treads rotating in the wrong direction can casue severe handling problems. Opposing tread will make the car feel like it's swaying when taking curves or changing lanes. Don't drive any farther than necessary until it's fixed. Directional tires can only be rotated front to back, not side to side, regardless of what the car's manual suggests.

Whatever you do don't drive in the rain. With the tires reversed you will be hydroplaning easily. I'd not take it on the freeway either.

Even though dealerships seem to have much lower standards when it comes to automotive detailing, I am finding they are definitely raising the bar when it comes to quality repairs. At least, they are in my area. I started using my dealer for all my maintenance about three years ago, and haven't go anywhere else since.
