Borla Exhaust and SRT Intake for 1999 GS 400

I am considering one or both of these mods for my recently purchased '99 Lexus GS 400. Does anyone have any experience with these? Comments or suggestions?

That would be me, lol Thanks for the reference to CL, Terry.

I've had both the Borla and the SRT intake/ECU combo and would recommend them both. I still have the Borla (have had it since early 2000 on mine) and think it's a great combo of nice but not overly loud sound + best fittment with the stock rear bumper. You will get very little (1 or 2 hp) from any cat back or axle back exhaust on the GS, so just pick based on the sound and looks.

The SRT intake + ECU can make a substantial difference in power... dynos between 10 and 30 rwhp extra, depending on how well the modified air/fuel map works on your GS.

Come join up on ClubLexus and try the search feature on our forum (I'm the forum admin there) for any followup as I don't read here on Autopia regularly. There are literally hundreds of posts on these two items alone.

Best of luck!

PS, we have an annual event in the mountains of TN right on the NC/TN border at Deals Gap / Tail of the Dragon. If you join up on CL we'll publicize when the next one is held, or keep checking back at our meet website www.lexusdragon.com
