Finished Intercooler Project

First off I have a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP.

I finished installing my intercooler two weeks back. Boy does the car ever run solid with the 3.0" s/c and intercooler as well as a custum tune. I'm using a Volkswagen Scirocco rad and will be using the Ford Cobra I/C pump soon.

You can see the coolant lines running to the core underneath the supercharger.

Here's an after vid of the pull.

I'm assuming it's a water-air intercooler. It's between the supercharger and the intake ports of the engine.

"You can see the coolant lines running to the core underneath the supercharger. "

Here are two other pics I should have included

The core sits between the supercharger and the low intake manifold as pin stated. Water to air aswell

how did you do an intercooler with that type of blower(Eaton/roots?)? Doesn't the compressed air go straight from the blower into the intake mani?

oops, you posted those picture while I was typing up my post. I get it now, nice setup. Im building a water/air setup for Audi A4 1.8T. The stock intercooler is no longer up to the task now that the car is making about 2X the stock HP.

Looks good man. Nice to see anouther modding W-body fiend.

So have you tried a 2.8" pulley? A buddy of mine is running one, and the difference between his 3.0" and a 2.8" is unbelievable. The sound is so much "whinier".

When are you switching to a whipple, or M112?

Oh well, nothing beats a good 'ol 3.25".

So the "coolant" is engine coolant? Or a separate cooling system?

My 2.8" is in the mail I'm looking forward to it, I'll have to keep an eye on my injectors just to make sure they don't go static.

Anyways, I'm not switching to a whipple or 112, if anything I'll go turbo

Setec - it's a different cooling system excpet that the overflow is hooked up to the engine system
