Who's got the best prices on car covers?
I did a search and all I came up with was past discussions over what the best cover is, but not where to buy them.
I want to buy a Weathershield HD, anyone know who's got the best deal?
I know Autogeek has them for $495.00. So far, that's the cheapest I have found.
This is going to be for my 04' Ford Expedition, by the way, that's why it's so expensive.

Yikes! Well for a SUV you're going to have pay more
I coulda swore someone corrected me maybe about 2 months ago saying webcovers.com (?) is now generally the cheapest but like I said, don't quote me on that one .
My place is apparently out of business. I did find it through a lot of googling and doing a lot of price comparisons between sites.

Pat, you wouldn't be planning on putting one on top of the other would you?

WOW, only $399 from webcovers.com. Ordered and on it's way, thank you very much!
So, what's the real deal with the two cover method? Does one by itself not do a good job or is this for *added* protection?

One cover never did a good enough job in even light to moderate rain for me. Unfortunately, I paid good money and still had unacceptable amounts of rain leaking through, even perhaps only through the seams, so we discovered the 2 cover method. It works apparently because both covers together block out all of the rain close to 100% of the time (with exception of near monsoon-like conditions)--whatever gets in must get through the seams of both and, I assume, due to the nature of the material of both covers, they still remain breathable as to not trap moisture as say, a tarp would.

Give Dwayne a call at Detail City. I just had him make me a custom cover for use in the garage for my Elky and it came out great, fits like a glove, took only two weeks. The price was less than most ready made covers.
