Question Suggestions on window tints

I have my car booked into Pentagon for tints, www.pentagonglasstech.com , but I can’t decide on which tint; I was thinking of light smoke all round, I will also be getting the windows reinforced with supaglass.
The car is a BMW 3 series in steel blue, the guy at the shop suggested smoke on the rears windows including back, and light smoke on the front two.
As we are all so anal regarding our cars appearance I’d like to know what my fellow autopians would suggest, If you have pics of your car(s) with tints could you please post them so I can make my final decision.

Thank you all for your input.

Well i am in the NY.

I like getting the Windows tinted very dark and usually go with 5%.
if you can put this without getting in trouble then do so.

I would not go with different shades, same all around..unless you're following your tint laws, here in the US, every state has a different tint law.
What % are you thinking off?

Woah hold it!

Don't buy generic tint for your loverly Bimmer!

Get Huper Optik or V-Kool. This site breaks down the various high end brands. Limo tint is ghetto looking, and still doesn't reflect as much heat as the higher end tints like Huper Optik.

i had 20% hyper optik all around on my nissan and loved it...thinking about 35% on front and 20% on rears of my new LHS just because tinting fronts in MI is illegal even though i was never bothered in my Nissan.

what color is your interior?
on my nissan with black leather, the 20% tint I have on now looks like 5% tint on other cars with lighter corlored interiors.

btw, if you're really doing the tinting for heat protection, get a metalized (I think that's what they call it) film since it reflect the heat better. If you're just going for looks, then regular tint is fine. I'd also say go the same all around if you can

Thanks for the replies guys,

Picked up car from tint shop today, went for light smoke security glass all round, really nice and subtle, interior is black, went for a 50% tint, I'm happy with the results !

Ps it was for looks not heat (Northern Ireland is freezing most of the time..lol)

I vote for the same tint all around. It looks funky to have a shade difference front to back
