Jetta/Golf Owners... part identification please

I have a broken part of the console so I need to replace this entire piece. It wraps around the entire stick and I have a picture here. I lost my PW for VWVortex so Im hoping someone can help me get a part # for this. I should add its for a 01 VR6 grey in terior jetta.

My first suggestion would be to try some junk yards, coz I guarantee it will be pretty costly from VW.

As far as your Vortex password, I'd imagine if you shoot them a "lost password" email (click the "forgot password" link) you should have it emailed to you within a few minutes, and you know you'll be able to find what you're looking for on there. Just don't forget to but on your B.S. boots before you hit the Mk4 forums!!!

I'm awaiting an email from VWVortex as we speak. Never would deal with VW directly if my life counted on it. Im just trying to get a part number for people parting out or for part requests for junkyards. Actually, the picture is ripped from someone else as I don't have a digital camera. Try to avoid it there anyways, too many 'checkbook enthusiasts' that don't even know how to wash their custom paintjob/bodykit/etc. etc. etc. : )

The part number should be stamped somewhere on the inside of that console piece. It shouldn't take too much effort to pull it off now that you have most of the center console removed.

I agree with the "checkbook enthusiast" remark. Check out the link in my sig, even though the site is centered around the 1.8t cars, anybody from the VW community is welcome.
