Painted the Calipers on my Father-in-law's TBird this weekend.

Well, my Sunday project was to do something about the nasty looking calipers on my Father-In-Law's '03 Thunderbird. I used the Caliper Paint kit from G2 Manufacturing. It's a brush on application. I think it turned out great! Here are some before, during and after pics.

Oh, and ignore the dirty car. The Bird is in need of a bath.

Cool, was thinking of doing it. how was the paint to work with? Was it thick enough were it didn't run off the edges?

Brian --I also used the red G2 on my Miata--Mica Green--really great product to use. Physically was able to paint each caliper w/o taking off pads--real EZ to do--and really adds a nice look. Since the G2 stuff is epoxy based, allows a quick clean up in normal wheel/tire wash sequence.

I don't know how your efforts went but I had paint enuf to do two coats and could have done another car.

Some people may want to use outside; I did mine in the garage and even with the door up, I had had enuf epoxy by the time I was done. Really about a 30-45 min job--start to finish. Great "image" return for the time and cost invested.

I agree, Joe. The prep of getting them clean was the longest part of the whole thing. I too had enough paint that after 3 coats, which is how many I put one, I could have done a second car... if it were already to go, up on stand with the wheels pulled off and prepped.

I33, the paint is thick where even though I had a drop cloth, there were no drips from run off. Now, you do have to start out with a thin coat and make sure it is even so that you don't get any runs in the final product, but that is with anything you paint.

I did mine last weekend too. I used a new kit by Plexi Kote <sp?>. It was only $15. Best money I've ever spent. It was so easy and fun! I got the kit from Advanced Auto Parts.
