DIY clearcoat over powdercoat???

I had my alloys powdercoated last year, and couldn't be happier with the results. However, I was wondering about clearcoating them myself so that they'd have that "clearcoat look", and be more resilient to brake dust, etc. and be easier to clean.
Comments/suggestions??
(I have painted wheels before, so I know the steps, and have the materials)

Do you use wheel cleaners or just shampoo? I'm just wondering because I distinctly remember my bottle of EO A2Z stating that it should not be used on "repainted wheels" whatever that means. I don't know if powdercoating is considered repainted or if it's just as tough as the original finish...

I know Duplicolor also makes wheel paints that includes a clear coat paint. I have always wondered if this was somehow different and better than other paints and if it would stand up to wheel cleaner.

I use Simple Green, and my 50/50 Mothers Showtime/Meg's FD QD mix on them only.
Just wondering if I could clearcoat them with something like Duplicolour's clear.
I'm sure a powdercoated finish is every bit as durable as the original finish- much moreso than paint.
Thanks for your time,
Audio
