Choice of wheels

http://uploader.co.uk/images/dsc01179ff.jpg

This is my Xtrail as it stands stock with 16'' alloys....now i wanna upgrade to a minimum of 18'' wheels..preferably 20" rims...and preferably chrome... cost is not really an issue...to an extent...

i've fotoshopped one set of rims on it already, what you guys think? ignore the door handle removing hehe.

Basically i need your opinions on the rims i photoshopped, recommendations on size, and preferably your suggestions of what rims to get... i would appreciate this ALOT
My brother seems to think chromes won't look good on it
HELP out a fellow autopian hehe...here is the fotoshopped image

I say go bigger. And not the rims I'd choose, but hey, it's not my ride.

But yea, it's definately an improvement from the stock rims.

i like those rims, goes well with the curves of the car. if you can fit bigger with no chance of any rubbing on the bodywork then go for it, otherwise settle for the next size down. sorry i cant recommend any good website for wheels as its been a while since i last looked at them

The stocks look very classy and match the car well with size and color. If you are going to purchase "rimzzz" fo that bling-bling yo, hold onto the stock wheels because your resale value will be greatly diminished with out-of-fashion wheels. Remember that people really liked those tiny wheels stuck waaaay out on the axles, neon underneath the chassis, and most recently, coffee can mufflers. Does a car with any of those things look respectable or downright foolish now? That truck looks great as-is. It is curious that they don't sell it over here, as it would be in direct competition with the Escape and Liberty and is better looking in my opinion.

The stock rims look great as is. Larger rims make the SUV look disproportinate.

Don't forget brakes! Adding all that rolling mass really affects the acceleration but more importantly the decelaration. For your safety and the safety of those in front of you spend some of that 'unlimited' budget on good stoppers.

Personally I'd go with the smallest and lightest rims that clear the brakes
