Paint or not---splash guards?

I'm thinking of adding molded splash guards to the front and rear of my car (01 Dodge Intrepid R/T- bright silver metallic paint) before we get snow this year. These are normally black in color but I'm trying to decide if I should have the backs shot the same color as the car. The only downside is if I hit a bump and flex it will the paint crack and peel? The upside is that it will blend in better with the car.

Any other suggestions?

You can have flex agents put in the paint to help with the paint problems. I like the silver idea, myself. Much more integrated look.

that's what I was thinking---I want people to notice the whole car, not the splash guards.
Thanks

I would definitely paint them if they're a different colour than the rest of the car or the lower rockers, especially if they're fairly noticable.

I'd hate the way it'd look if my car had different coloured splash guards.

Painted would look much nicer, but be prepared to have them painted now and then. They can take a beating.
