New tires for my Explorer this week

I need to get new tires for my Explorer this week and found 2 that have gotten good reviews. I am trying to decide between these, it looks like I can't go wrong with either but what do you think.

Michelin LTX M/S

Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo

Also any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I worked my way thru colllege selling 'hoops' (tires) and the best light truck tire on the market was the LTX M/S. If I had a truck, thats the only thing it would roll on!

Duelers are supposed to be good too.

If you never drive off road I'd go with Bridgestone Dueler H/Ls , not to be confused with their Dueler H/Ts . If you do occasionally go 4 wheeling then the Revo A/Ts will be your best bet.

I put these tires on my wife's 4Runner 4x4 and I couldn't believe how much better the ride is. They're really quite, the ride is excellent and great wet weather traction. We've had these tires on now for about 2 months and every time I ride in the truck I still can't believe how smooth the ride is. I mean it's not just smooth for a truck, but as smooth as most cars.

The Duelers are the sixth set of Bridgestone tires we've bought in the last 6 years for my 3 vehicles. I have always been extremely happy with their performance(ride, low road noise, traction and tread life). My first 5 sets were for my cars. Since I had such excellent service with Bridgestone in the past I'm really happy to see that this is continuing with their truck tires.

Michelin LTX's have lops of sipes yielding great traction. In my '99 f150 extra-cab, before I replaced factory tires with them I would almost always spin inside tire on a turn after a stop. Afterwards I really had to work hard to break 'em loose - GO WITH THE M LTX's

I have the bridgestones, they are good tires, work very well for me, they wear well and the traction is far superior to the tires i had on perviously

Ive had the 31-10.50-15 LTX's on my 4x4 tacoma for 3 yrs, 30 thousand miles now. VERY QUIET RIDE, sidewalls dress good, great wear, propelled me through what snow we get no problem. Kinda pricey, I gave 500+ for mine. Will replace with the same.

I would consider the Michelin Cross Terrains as well, that is what I went with for my Grand Cherokee.

Between the two you suggested though, definitely the Revos, they were my second choice. A nice looking, agressive tire too.

Tirerack.com is a great resource as has been mentioned.

Another thought is stop by the Dealer and see what the new Trucks are running. I have never taken my truck off-road so I changed to a street type and was very happy with them. The niose level was reduced and the tire ride was much softer on the highway.

I'm putting new tires on my blazer tomorrow, I'll be going with the new release out of Uniroyal, the Laredo Cross Country.

Also I'll be changing from a 235/70/R15 to a 235/75/R15.. I'm actually hoping for a little bit rougher ride and a bit more crisp performance from it - currently the whole handling feels "spongy."

we'll see

Thats right, Blazers come stock with that goofy sized 235/70/15, not a lot to choose from in that size.
