spoiler installation

Ok, I'm about to remount my spoiler on my '95 m3. The last guy who had the car obviously didn't realize that two of the bolts holding it in had come out. It left huge marks, which are now fixed, so I want to reinstall it. Should I just use bolts, or should I put some thin 3m adhesive foam or something between the spoiler and the car body to avoid damage?

subterfuge- Just noticed your post. *I* would NOT put anything between the spoiler and the car's body. Even a thin foam would a) possibly affect how the spoiler mounts b) possibly allow a buildup of dirt (hence moisture). At most, I'd put some clear film on the spoiler's mounting area to prevent friction.

Some dealers and aftermarket parts manufacturers can provide a seperate spoiler installation kit that would include "gaskets" to go in between areas of contact, it might be worth checking out if you haven't done the job yet.
