lights

hey,
sorry this is not really a detailing question but i did not know where to post it. i drive a gen 5 camry and wanted to add some lights inside like what they have on the ES300. ie, lights that shine on the pedals, and passenger side, under the driver and passenger side so that people who site in the back know where to step....

my friend just added those rice blue lights to the driver/passenger side but i want to actually have these lights turn on/off like the dome light. when door opens/when i unlock the car via remote. any ideas??? anyone?

You're RIGHT - this isn't a detailing question.

I'll give you a free bump and move this to the Customizing forum for you.

You could install whatever lights wherever you want, and tap them into the dome light circuit. Then they'd only come on when the dome light does (door open, unlocking, etc..). You'll need to watch how much current you'll be drawing, and probably upgrade a fuse. You could get with an audio shop or someone that knows what they are doing for this.
