need to drop the car

I just upgraded the wheels from 16's to 17's and put some low profile tires on them. Put them on the car now there is an unacceptable gap betwee the wheel wells and the top of the tire. resembles a jeep now. ( it is a honda accord for reference). So the pbvious thing to do would be to drop it. I was looking at gettning the eibach pro kit and some tokico blues. It should give a 1.5" drop. however there is some rather heavy electronics in the trunk that further the sag in the back. Is there anyway to balance this out a bit? I really do not want to drop it too much as I like the riding comfort now and the eibach's are a nice compromise from what I understand. Can anyone reccomend something or give me some aternatives thanks!

I would go with H&R over eibach. I have H&R's on my car and they are awsome. Make sure that you get progressive springs or the ride will suck. As for the electronics I would take them out(they just slow you down)

Maybe an air bag (air lift?) suspension in the rear if it's available? That would let you compensate for the weight by raising the rear I think. The car would be still tail-heavy handling-wise, but it would look right.

I would go with the Tokico's and a GOOD set of coil overs instead of springs if you are worried about excessive weight. The coil overs will allow you to adjust your ride height from stock to slammed. Ground Controls and Skunk2 are good coil overs to get in my opinion.

If I go with coilovers will I have to then get a camber kit? I guess since they are adjustable I can lower the front and adjust the back to the right height. I guess that is the best solution. How is the ride on coilovers?

Coil overs on stock shocks will suck but on the Tokicos you will have a good ride. The Ground Control's use Eibach springs and that is why I like them better. You should not need a camber kit with coil-overs unless you are going really low. If you are going 1"-1.5" you will be fine for now. Also, drop it to where you want the car to sit, drive it for about a week to give the springs time to settle a bit, then take it in for an alignment. The alignment shop will tell you if you need a camber kit or not for sure.
