Bilstein Coilover Suspension Installed!
I finally got my Bilstein Coilovers with Factory Euro M030 Swaybars installed this week. It was an incredible job. More than just installing "shocks". The entire suspension sub-assemblies have to be removed to install these parts. In fact, to tweak the car to the proper height, I had to do this several times! I lowered the car nearly 2". I'm battered bruised, and worn out.

Looking good Brad! Was this an aesthetic move or were you looking for a little handling improvement too? I suppose I already know the answer because you went with Euro swaybars which I assume are thicker than stock. Always loved your garage and the cars in them...S4, 986, 993...oh, how nice!
I wish someone would make some aftermarket shocks for the C32 so I can get those Renntech springs installed. Hopefully Bilstein or Konei will come through.

Great work Brad! Your Porsche has that "ready to rumble" stance now. How long did that job take you?

I probably spent 20 hours on it! It was quite a saga getting the height the way I wanted it and setting the sway bar droplinks exactly right. Every millimeter change forced you to remove and reinstall the complete suspension and subassemblies. You had to be very precise. EVERY attachement bolt is a concentric adjustment bolt! VERY time consuming!

Great Install! I just love your Carrera. When I get a three car garage, that will be one of my first choices.
Cheers,
My Black 7 Series

Nice Job Brad! Suspension work is usually a real knuckle buster.

I was at a Jag club meeting and a member who had this lift used it only to wash his cars because he was to lazy to bend to do the lower parts of the cars! He wanted a new lift that lifted his new Suburban overhead and offered to deliver this lift anywhere for $50. As the whole club stood in shock I bounced my hand in the air first and got the lift! Best deal in my life!
