My next project
Well i found my next proget today!!!
It is a 1968 Mercury Cougar XR7. It needs some work but other then some minor body work and a repaint she looks great.
I will get a new & updated engine in it. It has a 302 in it now, but i want better heads. It has the c4 tranny it in as well.
I will get a rebuilt engine and start to work on her in the spring. If everything goes right she will be on the road next spring. It should take a year to restore.
One owner the cars entire life, wow never thought i would see that. 52,000 miles on it and it is all verified.
I will get some pix and post them up

It will need a repaint. I will have it sand blasted to remove all the paint. then i will do all the mechanical work on it. then all the interior work on it. new seat & stuff.
then i will have it painted. I want it dark grey metallic like the color from gone in 60 seconds.

That sounds awesome. I love working on old cars becasue most people don't expect them to look nice.
Have fun dude, and you better get some pictures!

I wouldnt sand blast it if I were you. It will make more work than its worth. Find someone that can soda blast your car and you'll be much happier. If you cant find a soda blaster go somewhere that uses plastic media.

I hope they get it right the first time, otherwise they take tint off. I mean, I've had my tint redone a few times at my shop.. so why wouldn't every tint shop in america know how to do it just incase they even do a bad job?
Sounds fishy

LOL!!
I forgot all about this post tell someone just replied.
To make a real long story short, i did not buy the car. After the final review of the car and getting it on a lift, i found the entire floor to be rusted and needed to be replaced. there was alot of rust in the cowl as well.
I passed up on the car sale.
Sorry to keep you waiting.
