Re: Cold air induction

I like the look of the color-matched JLT.

I've had five 99-04 GT's and they all had different intakes. My favorite was the APC short ram with a k&n cone (yes, seriously.) ****** company, but it's just an intake, not an airbag.

Re: Cold air induction

Hey my first post! Long time lurker (I admire the hell out of you guys!) first time poster.
I have extensive experience with GT's and Cobras. The best RAI or CAI around without a doubt is the JLT. Tested over and over again as the best and they look soooo sweet color matched or flamed/color matched to your car.
Many a conversation with the developer/owner. Google their website and if you have ANY questions or reservations, just call them. Very good customer service.

This is INCORRECT.
An S197 can see a 15rwhp gain with a CAI and an 87 octane tune.
With a change to 93 octane you can see up to a 38rwhp gain.

My times went from 13.65 in the 1/4 mile down to 13.25 with the addition of only a C&L Street intake and a Diablosport Predator canned tune.
There is only1 CAI options if you don't want to get a tuner. The K&N and the gains aren't impressive.

There are more reasons to get a tuner such as better drive by wire throttle response, datalogging capabilities, etc.

If you want good S197 technical info in a laidback forum setting which is pretty much self moderated come visit us at Welcome to S197 Forums. The only forum on the internet dedicated solely to the S197 Mustang!

Re: Cold air induction

If its 8hp or 15hp it's still worth the money, and will help with future mods..
