Question Flat / Matte Black can you wax it?

so the previous owner of my car painted the spoiler flat black, i like it i think it looks good,

im not sure if he did it with a primer black or if he used a flat black, but when ever i wipe it some of the black smears off on to the towl or what ever,

what do i need to do to paint it flat black so it wont come off, and i can wax it? the wax just would be to give it a nice finish, i dont want it super shiny like gloss black

Thanks!

If it wipes off its probably just spray painted. If you want to keep it flat black you have to spray it with the REAL flat black paint with a spray gun, after you sand off that crap and primer it. But I dont know about waxing Ive always wondered that too. I think flat black looks really good sometimes on certain vehicles

i've used NXT liquid on a flat black rearview mirror before. Really added some depth to the matte. I was surprised.

I'd test it inconspicuously to make sure it wont flake or become white dust, tho.
