Reviving a dead thread because I'm interested in painting my front lip Satin black like this example...
Two questions:
1) Can you wax this paint job?
2) Can you adhere paint protection film (3M/Ventureshield) to it without creating a glossy look?

Vinyl is the way to go. Period.
We're doing flat black wraps and warrantying them for five years. No waxing needed.

Because you would ruin it if you painted it. Vinyl removes with zero evidence it was ever there.
