surface scratches on my merc

i stupidly used a green backed scrubbing sponge to get rid of lots of bird poo which had caked dry in the sun - and now im left with light surface scratches on my mercedes clk avantgarde coupe facelift model Can anyone advise me as to what i can do/is it possible to get rid of the scratches?
