Question Hello from Noob from Nottm UK

Thought I'd drop a quick thread to say Hi and to explain why I am here. A few months ago I purchased a Mitsubishi Delica (large 4x4 MPV) it had been used as a taxi by the looks of it and I wanted to make it look nice.

Soo I purchased a silverline rotary polisher and set about making it shine again... what a mistake I now have found my paint isn't that great and despite using a recommended compound paste ( Farcela G3 ) i have all kinds of swirl marks all over despite spending 11 hours doing it. ( just the compound that is )

Plan is to go over it with my current polishes AG SRP and then finish off with some AG DGP but it being so cold at the moment I am having major issues. The vehicle is to tall to go in my garage

Would love to see have a hands on with a UDM or PC preferably UDM or maybe a G220 but funds are tight and want to make sure I am not wasting my time and money.

Also been reading up about different vendors and Menguairs seem to be coming out on top, but would like some help as I may well be barking up the wrong tree.

Also I am the first to admit I am not a car cleaning maniac in the past the cars have been lucky to get a wash and leathered never mind polished etc. But I am beginning to see the light and would love to make something of it as despite my paint being bad on the Mitsi Deli I have thoroughly enjoyed doing it all....

Oh and HI everyone

Re: Hello from Noob from Nottm UK

Welcome to Autopia

I would suggest that a PC (UDM) is going to be a great investment. They are easy to use and produce great results. A PC is not a miracle product and it does have its limitations but my biggest regret was waiting for so long before I got one
