Re: Generation Kill crew
Ehhh, not bad, I found episode III a bit boring and will catch IV ON DEMAND.
I liked John Adams better, lol.

Re: Generation Kill crew
Last night's episode (4) was outstanding.
I really like how they have kept it free of politics and just focused on the men and their missions.

Re: Generation Kill crew
I love it Scottwax. I think it is very well produced, excellent character development and realistic. They went through great lengths with consultants and Marines who served in that unit to re-create an unfiltered depiction of what occurred. I am going to buy Evan Wright's book.
Some of those characters are in fact not actors. They were the actual Marines who fought. You know the guy who jogged in full uniform and gas mask in episode 1 and is the scout in the scout/sniper team when they waxed that RPG team? He served. He did 2 tours and 1 tour in Afghanistan. YouTube - Generation Kill - M40 Sniper Kills
The guy who rides shotgun with the officer that wears the checkered scarf (the one who the corpsman said was incompetent in last night's episode) also served.
Here are a few good clips:

Re: Generation Kill crew
Seth-I knew Rudy was actually playing himself, plus two others who were there are serving as consultants on the set. Plus the team who wrote The Wire did this show too and are well known for striving to be as realistic as possible.
I thought it was hilarious when Doc told Encino man he was incompetent.
Trombley though, wow. Telling Brad (Iceman) he wanted to know what it was like to get shot and the look on Brad's face.

Re: Generation Kill crew
Been watching it on HBO and been downloading it on torrents too (just finished watching #5 on torrent as of this typing). It's a great show imo.

Re: Generation Kill crew
Iceman in episode 5... "there are men in those trees" then calmly and methodically starts taking them out.
