they make money on the short or long, like a bookie, they don't lose...
it's the small time, reluctant, 401/ira investor that makes up the difference...

my nephew, 41 yrs old, made 2 mil last year...it's a SEC listed disclosure...
he's not worried, he's saying it's payback time for living on borrowed money and not saving any...

we like to blame the government, et al, but really it's OUR fault...
but Americans were never really good at accepting responsibility for our actions, it's easier on the ego to blame outside influences beyond our control...that way we are absolved...

while everyone else is losing, the bold will win...

What's really funny is that as much as Republicans complain about progressive taxes they were the ones who rallied against a proposed flat tax rate some years ago. But this is a true flat tax rate taxing from the source NO DEDUCTIONS PERIOD. Most day to day employees would not even deal with the IRS, unless they themselves had a business venture, and administration costs are far far less. This system is is entirely too fair and because you can't hide money period, plus the money making business pays the taxes. It was heartily shot down.

Great article! Shows that cutting taxes increases revenue. The Dems should study this. Instead of looking at hard #'s, they make false promises to get themselves elected. Mr. Obama said in his press conference that giving tax breaks to the lower and middle class would create jobs! HUH? I don't know anyone that was ever hired by a low income person.

Our democratically controlled congress has managed to pass an energy bill that bans incandescent light bulbs. (dimwits) You can bet you will see much more of this lunacy in the next 4 years.

The Fair Tax would rob lobbyists of their power, as long as the government was prohibited from also levying an income tax.

And how does your analysis of the IRS stats conclude differently than the article I cited? Please point out the distortions (as a lawyer would, LOL)...don't just refer to something else.

I wonder if there would have been total peace and harmony if Obama had lost.....LOL if you believe that to be true.
