There's some good fishing here. In BC, there's quite a few trout rivers with some massive catches and in Northern Ontario there's an awful lot of Walleye, Pike, and Muskie. Pick your poison.
My dad and I came up about 8 years ago. It was one of my favorite vacations!

Re: Elitist Options: Video

haha i know you were joking (well i thought you were half joking)
it just that there ae lots of people out there (from all over) that have no idea about canada.
when i was in vegas one of the dealers (in al seriousness) asked me if it snowed 365 days a year and if iknew how to build an igloo. He perclaimed hes knows we have houses not but heard that the schools taught igloo building becasue it was so important for out survival. After my jaw bounced off the floor i explained it dosent snow one dat of the year so we can do igloo building class... he bought it... dont worry i later explain to him it was a joke.

As for why things are more expensive, he biggest reason is things like utilities, often rent cost more, also the CDN is often lower the USD so things cost more to balance it out

Re: Elitist Options: Video

Aside from gas, I am willing to bet that most day to day purchases (food, clothes, cabs, entertainment, and yes even rent) in Canada is comparable as a whole compared to the US as a whole. Sure, if you compare Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal or Calgary to Cheyenne or Reno, well then Canada is going to seem a lot more expensive, but I'm pretty sure New York, Miami, Seattle, LA, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, etc, etc more than make up for it.

Re: Elitist Options: Video

You know with all the comments posted in this thread, even in fun, its a good thing to have the US south of us and its good for the US to have an always friendly neighbor to the north. Its one border you never have to worry about. We really are very similar in background and racial make-up. By the way I was born in Washington DC, when my father was attached to the penagon. Way back in 1955 at the Walter Reed Hospital.
