Re: Mainstream Media
Just look at the plethora of attacks on Palin for wanting a step-child torturing trooper fired, and compare the total lack of MSM coverage of (or investigation into) Obama's relationships with Ayers, Reverend Wright, and ACORN.
How did Obama get so much money from FM and FM in such a short period of time?
Mike (think I'll stay on Fox News)

So, aside from Fox, do you think the mainstream media is liberally biased?
I don't know how any reasonable person can think otherwise. There's very little, if any, attempt to even hide their bias when they're supposed to be objective.

I think all the major news outlets are biased, one way or another.

Re: Mainstream Media
Yes, the lamestrean media is riding the leftist train 95% of the time--NBC, CBS, CNN, ABC. Fox news tends to be on the other side frequenty, from what i've seen. I have been making it a habit not to watch/read any of it and get my news from other sources--especially with the elections approaching.

Re: Mainstream Media
Fox is the only network that has both liberal and conservative commentators. The other mainstream networks don't even bother trying -- straight liberals.
90+% vote Democrat?
Did anyone hear the story of the soldier who was providing security in Iraq for some media reporter? The soldier emailed her family to watch the news, as she was going to be on TV there in a piece involving whom the soldiers were voting for as President. According to the soldier, something like 57 soldiers said "McCain" and only 3 or 4 said "Obama". There were some "undecided" voters, also.
The family watched the news and the reporter had 2 or 3 of the Obama supporters with her, insinuating that the military backed Obama. No mention was made whatsoever of the numbers that said "McCain".
What about the interview where the liberal commentator essentially asked Palin, "Did you see the National Review article that said it was hard to tell if you were just naive, uneducated, stupid or maybe all of the above?" The article actually said, "If you listen to the mainstream media, you get the impression that Palin is either naive, uneducated, stupid or maybe all of the above."
Talk about your "gotchas".
Mike (I'll stay with Fox and put up with their idiot liberal commentators)

Re: Mainstream Media
I think the idea of a liberal media was invented by conservatives because the media doesn't present their opinion 100% of the time. If anything, the media in the US is conservative IMO. When I compare the news stateside with Canadian news or the BBC, I see a remarkable difference. And it's not as though we don't have our conservatives either. Our fascist reporters work at something called The National Post.

Remind me never to go to Canada again.

Humans are humans, there is always going to be some bias. Some are more biased than others. The thing I find funny is how the "bias card" is always pulled if one side thinks that the MSM didn't find enough stink on the crap they dug up.

Pat Buchanan (MSNBC) is a liberal? CNN has a whole host of Republican/conservative commentators (Ed Rollins, David Gergen, Amy Holmes and many others).
I get a kick out of the notion that critically questioning our government or leaders somehow makes you unpatriotic in some circumstances, but a "maverick" in others.

Re: Mainstream Media
Why is "critically questioning" Obama either racist or "mean spirited"?
The liberal commentators on CNN don't point/counterpoint like Fox. The conservatives get their 20 seconds of comments.

All candidates should be critically questioned, and I think most of the time they are. But if you don't listen to, like, or accept the answer, where does/should it go from there?
Are you questioning my patriotism or anyone else's? What makes you a true patriot? Because you're a vet? Begging your pardon, you know nothing about me.
