Bush 41 landed on a carrier in the Pacific in WW2.
The present Bush flew F-102's in the Texas Air Guard before his Bush got hom out of his obligations
McCain flew A-4's.
While the F-16 does have a tailhook, it was not designed for carrier landings. The tailhook is for use on icy runways, like one would find at Elmendorf AFB in Alaska, where, at the proper altitude, one can see Russia.
