Yes, a New York City subway rat is better than Dion (or Bob Rae down the road).

But VP, she is not even close to being ready at running this country. Big Joke!
Let me get this right, you are voting for somebody because they look like you and you have the nerve to call others racist...lol

Infact your whole post strikes me as ignorant, period.

Guess who won the last two elections, a conservative.. (its true). To my knowledge neither Gore or Kerry are black? So why did they loose?

Because this country is equally split on each side of the political bar. But if Obama doesn't win, it is race, huh? I couldn't be the tax increase or wealth redistribuation at all, right? It couldn't be that people just don't agree with his policies? Nah, gotta be race because that is the easiest crutch to grab onto, isn't it? Only if Kerry and Gore where black...

Will some people not vote for Obama because he is black? Yes, absolutely, and it is sad. Will more people vote for him (with out any knowledge of the issues) because he 'looks' like them? Absolutely, and that is sad (and racist).

You made several generalizations in your post that are down right ignorant. As a black person you claim to know what WHITE (you emphaized it, not me) PEOPLE are scared of? Seriousy, you know huh? Talk about racist to a tee... In fact the only person who has come across as racist in this entire post is you, but then again, you have already admitted to voting for somebody because they look like you...

WHY IS IT OKAY FOR YOU TO DO IT, but not white people? Why is it only racist when it swings one way?

I tend to vote conservative (but will not vote for either person)and I would absolutely vote for General Powell. I will not vote for Barak because he has LESS experience then Palin and I don't agree with his policy, period. Please do not use race as excuse to reduce my feelings in one racist generalization that is 100% not true. Wake up and smell your own racist hypocrisy before you attempt to make racist generalizations yourself. Its okay for you to vote for people that look like you, but not okay for others (I think its wrong for you and others, personally, but then again I am not racist)?

Voting for anybody based on their race is racist, and it goes both ways, period.

Also, I think the fact that Mr. Obama has made it this far, is ahead in the polls, and will likely be our next president goes very far to poke about 1,000,000 holes in your racist theory.

This vote has nothing to do with race, but if white people are so terrible and the whole election is about race (which the polls have Obama winning at this point) then what does that say about the terrible white people?

Granted I wasn't alive when Dr. King was inspiring a generation, or when races have been excluded from things, but I would never hesitate to have a black person sit at my table, why would I? We have black people in our family and other then this post, I have never even thought of their color.

Almost ALL white people I know judge people on their character. If somebody (any color and I see more white people this way) comes into a business I own, doesn't speak English but rather a poor attempt at it and has a thug attitude then I would be alarmed.

Re: Obama or McCain?

I voted early here in Florida on Friday. I had previously filled out my sample ballot (our ballot this election contains dozens of political races plus a half dozen amendments to the state constitution) so I wouldn't take too long to vote once I got to the supervisor of elections office.

While I was filling out my actual ballot in the "stand up booth", 3 different young blacks voted in the booth next to me. I was shocked that it only took each 10-15 seconds to vote. When I got back to the office, a co-worker said, "Obviously they were only voting for Obama and couldn't care less about the other issues."

She was probably right...they were only there long enough to fill out one or maybe 2 of the ballot selections.

Maybe they were patriotic and voting based on the issues, but thinking back, it certainly looked as if they just wanted to make sure Obama got their vote and nothing else mattered.

Mike

No, but when the bottom has no money, they don't buy goods, the don't use services and they don't put the fuel in our consumption driven economy. Bring up the bottom and you increase the top.

8 years of Bush has insured the American dream is only a fantasy. No need for most to even contemplate it for the next little while.

Dude, when I was born I lived in a house with 16 other family members, out of necessity. We never collected welfare or food stamps but we got a lot of help in a lot of other ways.

I'm not so self-righteous to sit here and tell you I did it all because of my "own effort". I did it because along the way I had great (under paid) teachers, counselors and clergy. I had a "support system" that I knew I could count on in a time of need. I've also gone from poor the rich and would hope my tax dollars would go to helping other make that move.

There are a lot of people who put a lot of their own effort into this land and don't have much to show for it, so spare me the sanctomonious "everyone else must be lazy" story.
What effect on the economy of the United States has the countless trillions of dollars paid to welfare recipients had? Does the economy "take off" when you "build it from the bottom"? Is that what history has shown us? Uh........................no. You need to remember that the "bottom 20%" is a fluid group; most current members move out of that category within a few years. Only the deadbeats/truly unfortunate stay there forever.

Family is supposed to take care of family. Unfortunately, welfare resulted in dads not living with mom and the kids, which has contributed to the crime debacle we have today.

I'm glad your family did what my mother's family did....they all lived together, pooled their money, and took care of the family until they completed high school and got married to start their own families.

The fact that you "studied under the top professors" means nothing to me. The fact that Bill Ayers is ranked #1 tells you everything you need to know about college professors (the vast majority of which vote Democrat and wish for socialism).

Tenure is a wonderful thing.

Mike (has lived "the truth" and doesn't depend on it from others)

I cannot believe how many friends of mine will NOT vote for him due to his race. They can comfortably tell me this because I am white, as of course, they are. I have already told 2 "friends" that their attitude and racism have no place in my life and I have written them off.

I have never seen so much racism in my life so close to me. I am ashamed. But i just wanted you to know that not all of us are idiots. Obama is already uniting people because this election has brought this issue right to my front door step. Right in my face, up close and very personal!

This election has forever changed the way I think about racism in these United States.

Ha ha "united" states.. please.

I feel for you and having to purge friends because of their bigoted views. My issue with Mr. Obama is the friends he has had and his Marxists idealism. I would vote for J.C. Watts or Lynne Swan because they believe the way I do. I guess we will all see what the next 4 years brings us.

Didn't people attempt to kill Reagan and Ford?

How many people have jumped the fence at the White House trying to kill Bush?

It is sad that we have fringe groups on both sides of the aisle that would try and bring their hate on all of us!

Whatever happens in this election, I am hoping that all people support the new President and don't let race or other ideals stand in their way. God Bless the U.S.A!

unfortunately, the world will never see the end of racism and violence. most of the racists could care less if he does do a good job in the white house, they are still going to be looking at the obvious. agreed whoever wins, i hope we can put our ideals together and move forward to clean up the mess we have right now...
