I'm giving serious thought to getting rid of my water tank and using ONR entirely. California is strict with it's rules/laws and more and more folks are wanting eco-friendly options.

    My concerns are:

    1. What about EXTREMELY dirty vehicles, i.e. caked on mud?

    2. Streaking. I did a red Accord coupe INSIDE my garage and it streaked badly. This rarely happened but I was shocked.

    Any info is much appreciated.

    Thanks.

Extremely dirty still needs a traditional wash. If you can lift the dirt with your fingers, its time to get the hose. As far as streaking goes, you might need to adjust your concentration. I get streaking if I have too much ONR in my solution. Soft water will make that worse. I have very hard water and need to use way more solution, so consider yourself lucky in that respect.

I use ONR exclusively. If a car is extremely dirty with caked on mud it needs to go to a car wash. I do auto detailing. There are really no cars that are to dirty, it is the middle of summer. I live in new England and maybe in late march a car is to dirty with salt and sand but not in the middle of June. I'm not even using the 2 bucket method anymore. now I'm just mixing ONR in my chemical guys sprayer and wiping off with microfibers. if your getting that streaking (I know what you mean) it means to much ONR just use less.

Have you considered a vapor steamer for exterior cleaning. Using the steamer to loosen the big stuff, get to emblems and seams, and then finish with ONR.

I am considering a vapor steamer from Kevin at Kleen Car.
