Re: Collinite quest / which is more durable

I love both of the mentioned Collinite waxes, but my favorite is the Marque de Elegance by Collinite. Goes on buttery smooth and has very good durability. Beading after several months. It's worth a try in my honest opinion.

Re: Collinite quest / which is more durable

I have used both Collinites, 845IW is tougher than we think ! I usually wax my car in October before winter here in eastern Canada and when April comes along, the car parked 24/7 outside still beads, so if will last much longer in summer conditions. 476S should even last longer ! Could be that I don't wash my cars in the winter months.

...and yes cute kids and I am sure they are a bundle of joy !

I agree 100%....915 has the better deep wet look than the other pastes....on Reds..Blacks...yellows....and other darker colors 915 really stands out...and the durability of 915 is as good as the other pastes....I use 915 over Duragloss for the winter and it holds up till spring for me....salt just washes off with a spray of rinse water from the pay and spray wash places...

885 and 476s would be my second choice.....

845 is a good looker but to me the least durable of the Collinites...the pastes are the winter waxes by far....

Re: Collinite quest / which is more durable

I have used both and if you put multiple layers of either, it should last at least 5 months. I have them on my cars and they sit outside 24/7. I put on 3 coats about a week apart (after a wash) and i am good to go for the winter. Try adding some danase wet glaze after a couple of layers of 845 or 476S and it makes it look really wet (and durable).

Re: Collinite quest / which is more durable

Sounds like plenty of people find something or other to prefer about the various different Collinites

Yeah it is IME..those two are my most commonly used LSPs and the 476S lasts a lot longer for me.

ill second that. I've had CME on my paint for over 3 months now. Water still beads (somewhat), and I just washed it for the first time in a few weeks lol but it still looks like the day i put the wax on!
The insulator wax is meant more for boats and rv's, but the 476s is good stuff for cars. I used to sell it to detailers at dealerships cuz they loved the durability of it.

Re: Collinite quest / which is more durable

Any good sites to buy 845 from? Autopia doesn't link to an 845 product.

Thanks.
