Re: Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss

I bought a gallon of this shampoo to try out..Talking to Paul he said follow dilution ratio ..if you add more you get a stronger cleaner...and will remove wax...1/2 oz tops to 2 gallons is for best results as a regular wash....I took 4 oz and mixed in a 32oz spray bottle and sprayed my rims with it at the spray wash bays...it melted brake dust ..even though they were not bad ..I seen the dust just start to flow down....pretty impressive wash..

I still like my DG901 but this stuff has its place as a pre polish soap...maybe a engine cleaner..rim cleaner ..and as a straight wash on the truck with the 1/2oz to 2-3 gallons of water...

Re: Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss

Re: Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss

I know of several guys that use this wash and love it. I'm going to be actually purchasing 5 gallons of it for my business.......I'm about out of NXT. I'm going to mix it strong in a 2 gallon pesticide sprayer for treating bugs this summer as well as tires, rims, and wells. I'm hoping it will replace my degreasers. I know it will remove a lot of grime though.

Re: Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss

I have it and use less than an ounce per gallon and get all the cleaning power I need. The suds never end and lubricity is up there with the best of them.

Re: Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss

After reading this ..I went out and washed the truck to actually see how it worked...

First I had to shake it up some as it settles....2 layers in the Jug...I shook it a minute to mix it up....

I used my cold medicine measuring cup to measure 1/2 oz of soap ...I used warm water in the bucket ...had a ton of sudz....I wet the truck down and did a panel at a time and rinsed....
then did the wheels last....

It does clean very good....not as slick as Griots or DG 901 but very close...but it does clean ..left a nice gloss to the paint and wheels....rinsed off very nice..left the glass spotless.

I will continue to use it...

Wow, thanks guys for all the input, nice to hear alot of good reviews on the stuff.

And thanks for giving the dilution ratio for use as a wheel cleaner.

Re: Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss

2 things come to mind after reading this thread...

1) Does this product replace kAIO as a paint cleanser?

2) A concern: From what I know, most agents that are strong enough to clean rims aren't the best for your skin. Even at lower dilutions, your skin will come into continual contact with this stuff through your mitt during the wash. Is this an item of concern?

Re: Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss

^^^^
I wouldn't imagine that it's hazardous seeing that it's
citrus based , natural ingredients and so forth.
(Marge soaked in the Palmolive for years and she's OK).
Otherwise , you'd think it'd be a cause for concern on CG's
end....liability and such.

I also wouldn't use it as a straight-up replacement for AIO.
I wouldn't imagine that it cleans THAT well.
But , then again, what do I know ?
