Re: Just tried Opti Seal

I wonder if it can protect against bird sh*t....? I'm having some problems with my sealants & looking for a replacement....? Or only carnauba waxes can withstand bird sh*t?

This sounds similar to the effectiveness of the wipe-on & walk-away Z-CS product that Zaino released in Febuary. ~ If it is, it's quite an addictive LSP that looks even better the next day - it almost dares you not to hit it with Z-8! Will it be just as durable as Z-CS?

I used OP and Poly-Seal about 3 weeks ago - today I just washed and dried and applied.
That looks absolutely amazing, really wet. Nice work.

It is not like the CS product other than the wipe on and walk away. Different in almost every other aspect including the look that comes out.

So I take it that you have tried both, thanks for the warning - I'll stick with the Z-CS, glad I already have it ... I didn't think there was something better, again thanks for the heads-up!

Re: Just tried Opti Seal

What is the *recommend* base for it ? Can it go ontop of another sealant ? Or do they recommend a nice bare surface ?

Re: Just tried Opti Seal

It is not like CS at all...If you like CS that much, you should stick with it. I believe the recommended base would be Poliseal.

I have never placed OS on top of another sealant, other than itself in layering, but I have used it both on top of PoliSeal and OCW and also underneath OCW. It works great in either case but I personally prefer to use it as a stand alone product.

Re: Just tried Opti Seal

So you think we should use OS as a LSP? Its on my RX8 as a LSP now but what do I do with all the Pin. Souveran I have? I did a OP, 85RD, then CG WET MIRROR FINISH ULTRA SLICK NON-STICK GLOSS MAGNIFIER, then OS. Looks great.

Nope, no acrylics in Opti-Seal.
