Thumbs up I found my favorite light compound/polish! OTC too

Well yesterday I was off to my autobody supply shop store to get some heavy cut polish for a friends black vette that I have coming up in a week for a wetsand, compound and polish. I have most of the polishes that we all use and talk about, but they won't cut it, well not in the gloss and cut I am looking for or what I am use to, atleast not on a beat vette. I have used just about every polish/compound out there in the past 15 years and I am extremely picky on prep work as it has to come out 100%. LSP's to me are just to protect my work, so the prep has to come out super glossy with not a scratch or marr in sight.

I normally pick up my normal Presta Ultra cutting creme(medium compound) and Presta 1500 polish (my favorite). I then spotted a bottle of Presta ultra cutting creme light, so I decided to pick it up a 32 oz. bottle for $15.49. I knew it had to be good because I have been using presta compounds/polishes for at least 15 years. Prep is the key to an award winning finish.

Now I rush back to my shop and try some out on some of my used cars and I was blown away. It took out some pretty aggresive scratches, oxidation, and heavy marring out. It left a gloss that was beyond excellent. The finish was like glass and the gloss was truely amazing! No oils, fillers, silicones, and is body shop safe. Plus it will not wash away. The gloss is there to stay. It's starts out like menzerna intensive polish and finishes off like 106ff(without the oils). It's that good!!!! It's now my best polish!!!! One bottle does all. Now just add lsp!

Presta ultra cutting creme light (make sure it's the light version). You can find it at body shop stores if you look around. You will be glad you did!

Sorry for the long post but I just wanted to share this with everyone.

Thanks
Ryan

I'll have to look into it, sounds like a winner of a product.

Re: I found my favorite light compound/polish! OTC too

Ryan...I went to my friends body shop to use their plastic welder ..and we were shooting the breeze and we got on the subject of compounds and polishes..he brought up name Presta..I said I heard of it but never used it....he gave me a demo on a car in the shop...used the Presta ultra cutting creme light..and WOW..what a product..the car had your typical car wash swirls..and he took them down to almost to a LSP ready finish in just 1 application...took out 99% of the swirls ...it had a extreme high gloss to the paint....it did dust a little but not as bad as some I have used..I was impressed...

He said all the products they used are very good...he said the Chroma 1500 is one great product also...

After seeing that ..I put them on my To Get list come springtime...they sell them local to me..so thats a good thing...or i can order them off the truck that comes to his place...

So what I seen of the results..it does exactly what you said...I have used Menzerna and still do..but this stuff comes very close to it..and cheaper..

Oh..he said the car shampoo was a good one also...Lube suds..something like that.. forgot the name...

Thanks for your review....it made my decision final on getting some

I tried the lube suds and it was also great. I have been using the chroma 1500 for about 10 years or so and it is one of my favorites also. It's done heavy defect removal and still finishes off like glass. Now I have the new ultra cutting creme light to my pack and I am so glad I bought it. It goes from dull to glossy in one step!

I have not yet, but I have po106ff and I also like it alot. But it is for finnesse work and will not work on my aggressive work, especially when I am stuck to use a wool pad after wetsanding or on corvettes. I wish it did though. It gums up my pad pretty bad. Plus for $50 a bottle I would rather save it for my light swirl remover and finnesse polish.

Re: I found my favorite light compound/polish! OTC too

Can it be used with a PC or is this strictly a Rotary only product?

Was designed for a rotory, but it can be used with a pc with ease. Speed 6 is what you need.

So it's more of a finishing polish but can still remove swirls well? Sounds like a cool product, may have to try it out.
