Little green machine stuff?

Does the oxi-clean stuff work as good as the Little green machine formula? I got one for Christmas and tried it out on my moms cars seats last night. Someone must of spilled something in them b/c the dirty water was DARK red.. Kinda sick really.

Anyway, the thing really puts out ALOT of cleaner when your cleaning something bigger, like the entire inside of a car. Is the Oxi-clean stuff any cheaper than the Little green formula? I was looking around at walmart and the little green stuff was $8 for a bottle, not to sure on the size. I saw the Oxi-clean stuff but didnt look at the price. Even if it is cheaper, does it work as good? It was bringing stuff outta those seats that must of been there since we bought it b/c weve never spilled anything in it.

Re: Little green machine stuff?

From what I have read here on autopia your better off going with apc's and stain removers like Folex and Kids&Pets(both available @ target). Those seem cheaper and more effective than the LGCM fluid.

Re: Little green machine stuff?

Hmm, well.. I just went out and looked at my moms seat, it looks worse than it did before! I guess Ill have to do it a few more times to get all the crap out of it. I suppose it pulled all the stuff to the surface that was in the seat.. Ill do it again in a few days when I get the time. Ill try the folex if I get a chance to go to lowes..

Re: Little green machine stuff?

I like Zep's extractor shampoo, it's comprable to the Bissell formula, but with a better scent and cheaper. I wouldn't use Folex as a shampoo, rather I'd use it as a pre-spotter on spills and stains before extracting with the LGCM, hot water and Zep.

Re: Little green machine stuff?

well, Ill try Oxi-clean then. Some people say it forms crystals in the machine and messes it up. Ill still give it a try anyway.

Re: Little green machine stuff?

I use TOL’s Rug Renew and Hi-Temp Premium Carpet and Upholstery Shampoo in both my commercial extractor and LGCM around the house. Fantastic results and great value
