Detailing supplies in Walmart & Target

hi! i will be asking a friend in the US to buy some detailing stuffs for me (he will be going home in 2 weeks). I need your help to list down items that can be bought from Walmart and Target. I'm looking for MF's, dusters, applicators, wax etc.

Pls inidcate brand and product name so that I can easily send a list to my friend. Also, If you can indicate the price, it will be good so that I can estimate the total cost. BTW, he's not a detailing enthusiast that's why he needs to have the details as much as possible.

Thanks in advance!!!

Try going to walmart.com? Prices will vary state by state same with what each Walmart carries.

They have MF drying cloths too. They're orange and run around $8 IIRC. The blue MF washing sponges are nice.

Maybe I just got a bad one, but the one I got ended up shedding like crazy after the first wash... all over the car, all over the other towels, etc. Then it was all hard, like a cardboard mitt with some wool on top of it. I just use it for the very bottom and underside of my body panels when washing now

I use a MF wash mitt from Target now, seems to hold the soap much better as well

You should pick up Stoner's invisible glass and Rain X from Wal Mart too... it probably won't be much cheaper anywhere else, especially the rain-x

Sadly, I found out that not all Wal-Marts have the same detailing stuff. Here we've got three Wal-marts and neither of them carry the Eurow mitts or NXT wash, but when I went down to Florida, they had both. Man, I wish I got'em while I was down there.

As for stuff to get from Wal-Mart...they're usually pretty cheap with what they have.

Stoner's Invisible Glass- 3.47
Meguiars Insane Tire Shine- 5.47 (I think)
Meg's Gold Class Foam Applicators- They were like 4-for-two bucks the last time I got some.

and on the off-chance he has a Target nearby, he should check into buying some Meg's GC Shampoo there for cheap, along with their 12-pack of MF towels for 8 bucks.

Wal-mart is very inconsistant in what they stock, both in the same store and across the board. Sometimes they don't restock a product for over a year, then it magically appears. Their employees are just restocking zombies, asking them anything will only lead to your confusion and their frustration...lol. Target is more pricey though.

Yea man, it sucks. But Target has some pretty good stuff, and I'm almost tempted to say that it's "higher end" in terms of OTC products with their Vroom line. Usually their stuff is only like 40 cents more, but that's still 40 cents. However, their 12 packs of Orange Vroom MF Towels were 7.99 last I checked and a whole gallon of GC Shampoo is only 9.99. I wish they still had their tire shine though...I really liked that stuff and it was on sale for like 3 bucks. I guess when my bottle's done I'll have to switch back to Insane Shine.

To add to the strangeness... my local Target doesn't even stock Meg's GC Shampoo! In fact, the only car wash they carry are these few "lower" brands and their own Vroom car shampoo.

Went to the Discount Auto and got some Meg's Deep Crystal wash. It was the best I could do compared with my dad's 6 year old Turtle Wax wash that barely suds up and feels like you're washing with water lol. What an improvement!
