!

In the past, the much older Zaino had a more "plastic wrap" effect. Now the newer Zaino both Z5-Pro and Z2-Pro have eliminated the effect!

Since joining a Porsche forum, most use Rejex as a sealant. Now THAT is plastic in look!

I've been applying Z5-Pro/Z2-Pro with Z8 on my new Porsche and everywhere I go I get so mant comments on it. As I drive it, I get more and more people taking pics by cell phone cameras.

Bottom line, a sealant will take more time than just applying waxes. But the end results speak for themselves.

Sean, to be honest, I'm trying to get as many silver metallic shots with Zaino as possible to post on the Porsche sites as you well know, there are many silver Porsches. Problem is they keep using that nasty Rejex sealant and love it. If they only knew the effect of Zaino on silver! One day, shoot me a few pics that I can post up so they can see for themselves.

Once again, great review as allways! Not too many people put this much effort in a true review!

Get in touch with me one day Sean!!

Regards,
Deanski

Craig: I have AIO (pre-VOC) under my Z now, no durability questions whatsoever.

Liz's Saab (pictured) was polished with Menzerna, IPA'd, then Z'd. Both finishes show the same. I really don't think one or the other is more desirable.

Dino: For some reason, I think the *car* you are driving, might have more of an effect than the shine .

Great writeup Sean. In spite of the tons of product that I already have this post is really making me want to try some Zaino...

You have a good point there!

Now, it needs some swirls removed from the hood area soon. If I can find the time!

Never thought of "spritzing" some Z8 into a mix of Z5 or Z2 Pro / ZFX mix. Interesting!

I hope more of the Porsche owners view Zaino as far superior in shine, gloss depth etc than the Rejex that most of them use. At one Concourse event the way some of those finishes glare at you is just such a shame! A good amount all looked as if a giant "Saran Wrap" roll came by and the owners took turns going through it!

The new Zaino just keeps getting better and better. No more need to top with wax! The Z-16 tire gloss seems to work very well.

I love the way Z-10 smells to new leather, but Porsche has a very unique leather odor. The Z-10 is a bit overpowering for it, however, it was dead balls on with the Lexus leather! Must be the type of leather used in Japanese luxury cars that have the same odor as Z-10.

I have yet to try the Zaino Z-PC polish.

I now like the look of Zaino and the Z5-Pro is a big improvement. I wonder what's next in Sal's line?

Regards,
Deanski

Excellent review and pictures, Sean. Very informative. Definitely agree about using AIO (or I am sure, Werkstatt's Prime) as a base for either is an excellent choice.

However, I will wait until you can use Z2 or Z5 without ZFX at all.

True. It's my mainstay for the ES leather.

generally I preferr the look of Z5pro. Z2pro is a bit more reflective. The nice thing about the Z system is that you can mix Z2pro and Z5pro together to get your own custom look.

Agreed that Z-10 has the same odor/smell as Lexus leathers. It just never seems to amaze me that people still use Lexol on fine leather when there are so many superior conditioners out now. Z-10 has always been my leather treatment. When I returned the Lexus to the dealer, they were stunned in entering the car. They all commented that it smells brand new! They kept going in and out of new deliveries and my car and could not tell. Z-10 "Leather in a bottle" is the way to go!

Porsche leather has a very different odor/smell. Very light. So, now I use 1Z for the Porsche. If I have to clean it or any leather, I still use the good old Woolite blend. Cheaper and if you see some of these so called leather cleaners, they are mostly the same as the Woolite blend with coloring and fragrance added.

The mixing of Zaino and ZFX for me is a very minor thing to so, it's just the cleanup of the bottle. It takes only a few seconds and if you're used to testing pool water, it comes second nature!

So far, cleanup of the Porsche is very easy with Zaino on. Wash and everything comes off. The wheels need a better treatment of Zaino, but since having PCCB's, I really do not have brake dust, just road dust.

May have to play with the Z-16 for wheel wells and engine bay area. Also, under the car I have those plastic wings on each side in front.

Zaino now does well for me, and I have black! Go on... give it a try!

Regards,
Deanski

I don't understand the logic behind mixing z2/z5 with z8. How is that different from applying z8
after z2/z5?

I just ordered some restock for my Zaino addiction. Ordered late night 7/11, received notification that package shipped on 7/12 and was at my door on 7/14 from a regional packing/shipping center in Kansas. UPS ground flat rate of 8.95. I'm in Omaha, NE. I'm thinking they outsource their fulfillment now to speed up delivery.

This is from their checkout page:

No outsourcing, just fast packagers .

If I order before 4pm, I'll have it the next day with ground shipping.
