Zaino Z-2 Pro question

I have a question for Zaino users:

Will Z-2 Pro cure without the use of ZFX? I am only interested in applying 1 coat of the sealant, so the flash cure feature is meaningless for me.

I received a response back from Sal Zaino to this very question and he writes this:

"ZFX is a very important part of the Zaino system and must be used...
ZFX is a special crosslinking, catalyzing additive for
Show Car polish. It is essential to use first even on brand new paint. "

Then goes on to say:

"Also, please reapply ZFX additive after every ten coats of
Zaino polish(Z-2 Or Z-5 or both)."

So what’s the deal? He says yes you must use it on the initial application, but then goes on to say you have to reapply it after 10 coats. So does this mean that those 9 coats after the first are still being catalyzed by the first application, or does it in fact cure on its own since the ZFX only has a 6 hour pot life according to the website?
